You will take part in a range of activities from rock climbing to cooking to art, helping you to learn and gain the skills that will support you to move forward into work, education, or training. This programme offers group activities, one-to-one support, employability sessions and skills development to help young people build confidence, get motivated, meet new people, and identify and achieve their goals! 25th July 2023 - Engage Sessions (16-30) The Prince’s Trust are hosting monthly Engage Sessions for young people who want to find out more information about The Prince’s Trust and our opportunities. These will be face to face sessions and after the session is complete, a member of staff known as a Youth Development Lead will be in touch with you to offer 1:1 support on either starting a programme with the Trust or signposting you for external support. Engage sessions are here to help you move on to or think about your next steps! They are safe space for you to feel welcomed, meet new people and a great way for you to make a new connection with the Trust! 25th - 28th July 2023 - Rise Up Academy Summer School Ever wanted to know how the FA Cup Final is broadcast to your screen? Or why so many cameras are needed at an event like Glastonbury or Wimbledon? Or perhaps you want to know how you can have a career in Virtual Reality? Join us to find out more! The Rise Up Academy Summer School at Global Academy offers young people in school years 7-10 the chance to get hands-on experience of working in media technology, and learn about all of the different steps that are needed to get great content onto your TV, tablet or phone. You can choose one or two days to attend and it takes place across 25th – 28th July 2023. It is free to attend and lunch/refreshments will be provided.
