3rd June 2023 - Accelerate Programme Open House We are offering all year 9, 10, and 11 students a free ‘Accelerate Studios’ workshop hosted by the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Are you interested in the intersection between art, science, and technology? Join us at the AA on Saturday 3 June for a free one-day workshop for year 9, 10 and 11 students from under-represented backgrounds who are interested in exploring a career in architecture or engineering. The workshop includes one full day of skills-based exercises, informative discussions and building tours with professional practitioners and special guests. This interactive workshop asks you to explore the themes of scale, order and time and how they influence the world around us as understood through the immersive exhibition at the AA: The Order of Time. The workshop will take place on Saturday 3 June 10am-4pm at the Architectural Association, 36 Bedford Square, London.v

14th June 2023 - 4pm - Building Your Future: British Army Apprenticeships and Career Advancement The British Army is committed to providing young people with valuable career opportunities through its well-established apprenticeship programme. You'll gain invaluable insight into the extensive range of apprenticeships, the Army Foundation College Harrogate (AFC) that caters to 16 – 17 year old's, and the application process. You will also hear from current/past apprentices on their experiences of an apprenticeship and how it has impacted and inspired their career so far. Join the British Army on Wednesday 14th June at 4pm and take the first steps into exploring the opportunities available.

27th June 2023 - 9.30-10.30am - London Careers Festival Jobs in Sports Sector online webinar This session offers students the chance to meet a number of volunteers who have jobs in the sports sector such as physiotherapists, policy advisors and business professionals. The session will be held as a panel discussion with some set questions the volunteers will answer, interactive poll and quiz questions and Q&A from students. We'll discuss the volunteers' experiences, the skills and qualifications they obtained and the issue of tackling gender stereotypes in the sports sector.

27th June 2023 - 1.30-2.30pm - London Careers Festival Working Towards Sustainability online webinar This session aims to showcase the growing need for sustainability related jobs across sectors in London such as construction, healthcare, tech and beyond. In this 'Classroom Chats' styled activity, our volunteers will deliver a presentation about their career pathway, the importance of sustainable jobs, and their experience of working in the sector. Students will have time for Q&A, as well as answering quiz questions related to the sector.

28th June 2023 - 9.30-10.30am - London Careers Festival Pathways into Healthcare online webinar This session will introduce students to a wide range of roles in the healthcare sector, connecting them to volunteers from across the NHS. Students can hear about the essential skills and subjects that are useful in jobs in the NHS, as well as learning about the different pathways into such roles.

29th June 2023 - 9.30-10.30am - London Careers Festival Creative Jobs online webinar This session offers students the chance to meet a number of volunteers who are not just creatives but have a range of jobs in the creative industry. The session will be held as a panel discussion with some set questions the volunteers will answer, interactive poll and quiz questions and Q&A from students. We'll hear about the volunteers' skills and experiences, tackle the idea that breaking into the creative industry is about “who you know” and discuss how creativity is an essential skill that cuts across industries.

29th June - 10am-4pm - The Festival of Apprenticeships - Kia Oval Cricket Ground The Festival of Apprenticeships in partnership with BT Group is back for 2023, with a roadshow exhibition promoting and celebrating all things apprenticeships. More than just a careers fair or conference, the event is a one-stop shop for anyone looking to find out more about apprenticeships. With top employers and learning providers highlighting their talent and promoting opportunities to future apprentices, the event will serve as a showcase of excellence in the sector!

30th June - 1st July 2023 - StepUp Expo Step Up Expo is the place for teenagers to take practical next steps, with 100s of opportunities to sign up to courses, work experience, part-time jobs, mentorship programmes and jobs. Brought to you by the Evening Standard and Next Step Education, in partnership with Unifrog, teenagers from 14-18 years old and their parents and guardians will be able to explore different pathways through education and into the workplace - from schools, colleges and universities, to training courses, internships and careers. A dynamic speaker programme at the Expo features inspirational young Londoners, leading educationalists, careers and well-being experts. Alongside the talks, Step Up Expo also features interactive ‘have a go’ workshops, plus music and comedy performances from the hottest young talent.
