20th November 2025 - Royal Courts of Justice
Year 11 enjoyed a visit to the Royal Courts of Justice in London to take part in a mock trial that related to a drugs case. We were given full use of a working court and all involved choose their role in the case (witness, prosecutor, defence, juror, or clerk etc). Students had the opportunity to play their part reading from a script, and the trial was concluded by the juror’s decision. This was a real case that had previously been heard and provided students with the experience of a real courtroom setting, and the different job roles that support the criminal justice system.
