Students at The Limes College participated in the pilot of the Classroom2Hired programme in partnership with Seeple (an online platform for building powerful digital skill based CVs and profiles). 

Seeple’s experience so far demonstrates that students have been highly engaged in the opportunity to design their own digital cv as opposed to a paper-based version. It is simple to use, can be easily adapted and will ensure that every student leaves with a good, well-structured CV they can use throughout their career.

Classroom2Hired meets GBM 3 (meeting the needs of each pupil), GBM 4 (linking curriculum to careers) and GBM 8 (personal guidance). Its purpose will have a lasting impact on students as detailed below:
 
•    Students will be equipped with the confidence and tools necessary to navigate the recruitment process
•    Post school recruitment is specialised and needs tailored advice
•    In the absence of formal work experience students need support in showcasing their strengths and qualities with examples
•    Meets the government education policy focused on developing creative, digital, speaking and listening skills
•    Careers are increasingly short term contracts and these skills will be reused throughout the student’s future
•    This is an example of the positive use of AI
•    Students will be attracted by the package and the resource
•    Students will gain accreditation for participating in and completing the pilot
•    This is an inclusive programme for all students including special needs and disabilities or other specialised support in the work place 

Not only will students be supported in creating their digital CV but our Enterprise Advisers will be an integral part of the pilot and classroom sessions, by supporting students with CV content, how to showcase their skills, writing applications and interview practice. This will be relevant to all students whether applying for work experience, volunteering roles, further education, apprenticeships and full or part-time work.
