“Meeting Individual Needs”
SEND at The Limes College:
At The Limes College we are committed to understanding the needs of all students, supporting all to achieve their full potential within their learning. SEND provision at The Limes is reflective of the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs 2014 and is guided by the principle that all students should have access to a full and balanced curriculum. In line with this principle every member of staff plays their part in ensuring that the needs of all students are met. We implement an inclusive curriculum underpinned by high quality inclusive teaching, and we ensure each learner receives the support and encouragement they need, in an environment in which they feel safe, nurtured and valued to access that curriculum.
Upon entry to the school, students are assessed to ensure their needs are promptly identified and appropriate provisions are put in place. Although some students may only be with us for a short period of time, while others may be with us longer, we ensure support is put in place to ensure all students can continue onto the next phase of their education or training.
If you have a concern about SEND provision, or would like to discuss your child’s progress or attainment, we encourage you to contact the SENCo in the first instance: Mrs Rachael Carvill, SENCo, sen@thelimescollege.org.uk
As a school, we work closely with the London Borough of Sutton through Cognus, the organisation commissioned by the borough to provide education services.
