The South Thames College Group comprises Carshalton, Merton, Kingston, and Wandsworth Colleges.  A workshop and information session was delivered to our year 10 students outlining:

•              Variety of courses on offer

•              The application process

•              Vocational Vs Academic Qualification

•              T Levels, BTEC's and Apprenticeships

•              Jobs in the future

•              Q & A Session

The aim of the workshop was to encourage our year 10 students to start thinking more about their next steps after year 11 and provide them with useful information to support them with their decision making.

The main topics for discussion included:

• The importance of attending open events to speak to subject staff to gain a better understanding of course content and college life
• Thinking about aligning favourite subjects, hobbies, and interests with a suitable course
• The skills that may be required.
• Actively researching course information at home
• Entry requirements
• Progression routes.
