Students visited a local community initiative called the Gander Green Community Fridge. 

The aims of the initiative are to reduce food waste and assist the local community during the current cost of living crisis. Students spoke to the founders of the project and learned how it operates. A member of the public stopped by to use the facilities and students observed a typical interaction. Students asked questions regarding funding provision and advertisement opportunities to reach a wider audience and increase awareness.

Students are interested in becoming involved in the project by helping to create a logo and volunteering some of their time. These avenues will be pursued for students to participate.
