2nd May 2023 - Detective Project Workshop
The Detective Project came to The Limes College for a day of workshops with students.
Students were presented with a mock crime scene and scenario where a person had died under suspicious circumstances. Students were shown what kit and apparatus would be needed to be a crime scene manager and they were then tasked with identifying what clues could be used for forensic and evidential analysis.
Students were given some background information about identified suspects and used fingerprinting techniques to ultimately identify the prime suspect. They were also given the opportunity to take their own fingerprints and practice analysis of prints.
This workshop encouraged students to use their problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills. They were also given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the sector and career pathways available.
