Students visited Radio Jackie for an insight into the media communications sector. The Managing Director delivered a talk about the history of Radio Jackie and the future of radio broadcasting as a sector.

He spoke of the varied pathways that you can take into radio broadcasting and the opportunities that working at Radio Jackie has afforded other people. 

Students were given a tour of the 'on air' facilities and were then allowed to broadcast live with the presenter!

Students thoroughly enjoyed the day. 

We linked this session to the curriculum and one of our students wrote a review piece in an English lesson which has been displayed on the school website and included in the careers display.
