27th November 2024 - Right to Appeal Workshop at the Royal Courts of Justice
Students enjoyed an exclusive tour of the Royal Courts of Justice and carried out a mock trial regarding cyberbullying and harassment.
The students were given full use of a working court, and were introduced to a real life past case of a defendant's trial for cyberbullying and harassment.
Students were allocated roles of defense and prosecution teams while staff helped by reenacting witness evidence. The trial was concluded with students debating whether the defendant should be found guilty of the charges.
This gave students a great insight into the legal sector, and they were able to explore one of the most important workplaces of the country. They asked lots of questions about pathways into law, and learned more about the workings of a court case.
