10th October 2025 - Army Day
Over several years, The Limes College has built strong relationships with The British Army in terms of resourcing for careers. It’s very important to us that we engage with and accommodate as many employers as possible to support a well-balanced, relevant, and meaningful career provision. This year, we incorporated a mix of both KS3 & KS4 students together which worked well. This event, which comprises a variety of physical activities along with an interactive classroom session, takes place annually and aims to provide our students with the opportunity to:
- Interact with each other and employers
- Identify and develop personal skills such as communication, problem solving, teamwork and leadership
- Have meaningful conversations about the workplace.
- Learn about the different recruitment processes and pathways available with this employer, including technical qualifications and Apprenticeships.
- Understand Labour Market Information (LMI)
- Learn about the variety of job roles and career paths this employer has to offer
- Learn about personal growth, adversity, resilience and non-linear/traditional pathways.
- Personally benefit from taking part but also have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
