1st May 2026 - St George's Mental Health Transition Support Assembly
Most of our year 11 students have participated in a wide range of CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance) and have received substantial post 16 and pastoral support with the aim of making this transitional period as smooth as possible for them; most have firm plans in place for their next steps.
However, we are aware that some of our young people may become overwhelmed or struggle when it comes to moving on to their destinations. We have teamed up with St. Georges Mental Health Transition support services who work out of some of the colleges that our students will be attending. The team came along today to have an informal chat and provide information to students about the kind of support they can offer and how to get it. This can range from extra visits to college and enrolment, through to parent workshops. We had a Q & A session, discussed some scenarios and found out how the referral process works.
If you are reading this and would like further information as a student or parent/carer, please see the flyer below for further information.
